Lengths and length ratios include for example external dimensions, internal dimensions, dimensions of shoulders, dimensions of diameters, widths, thicknesses, distances between centre lines of holes, angles, radii. Also included are dimensions in respect of form and position, and surface dimensions. Linear and angular dimensions are specified by means of a numerical value and of a unit, e.g. 20,985 mm, and they are as a general rule related to a reference temperature of 20degreeC in accordance with DIN 102.
