Specifies methods of testing the organic linings of metal vessels, pipes and other process plant components in contact with chemical substances. Such linings are made from: prefabricated natural or synthetic rubber sheeting ('rubber lining', for short), applied at the factory or on site; prefabricated acrylic or epoxy resin sheeting ('thermoset lining', for short), applied at the factory only; prefabricated thermoplastics semi-finished products such as film, sheeting, sheets and pipe sleeving ('thermoplastic lining', for short), applied at the factory or on site. The test methods are intended to be used within the scope of acceptance inspection during or after lining application, or as part of routine inspection to determine the effects of any changes in production.
