Flachdichtungen nach dieser Norm sind anwendbar für Mineralölprodukte mit zulässigen Betriebsüberdrücken bis 10 bar und Temperaturen bis 110 grad C. Bei Heissbitumen bis 220 grad C sind die zulässigen Betriebsüberdrücke bis 6 bar unter Einsatz geeigneter It-Werkstoffe.
