This standard is included in DIN Handbook 160. In conjunction with the relevant product standard, this standard specifies requirements for, and methods of acceptance testing of, metal valves in nominal sizes up to DN 500 for use in gas and water supply systems which operate on gases conforming to DVGW-Arbeitsblatt (DVGW Instruction Sheet) G 260 Part 1 or water (cf. DIN 2000) and are rated for pressures from 4 to 16 bar.
