Explanatory notes
Deals with the assessment of the aggressiveness of water, soil and gases which may contain aggressive substances acting on hardened concrete (as defined in DIN 1045). The term 'water' as used here does not include concentrated solutions such as some types of industrial effluents, but is understood to be water of mainly natural origin. It is essential that, at the planning stage or prior to starting construction work, a check be made whether assessment as specified is required.
