Halbleiter-Stromrichtergeräte müssen gemäss DIN 57 558 Teil 1 bis Teil 3/VDE 0558 Teil 1 bis Teil 3, VDE 0556 und DIN 57 556a/VDE 0556a neben der eindeutigen Firmenbezeichnung des Herstellers oder Lieferers und der Kennzeichnung der Art des Stromrichtergerätes ein Leistungsschild tragen, auf dem ein Leistungskennzeichen anzugeben ist. Dem Leistungskennzeichen kann, durch einen waagerechten Strich deutlich getrennt, ein Aufbaukennzeichen und ein firmengebundenes Kennzeichen vor- und/oder nachgestellt werden, deren Inhalt dem Hersteller oder Lieferer freigestellt ist. Das Leistungskennzeichen ist nach Abschnitt 2 aufzubauen.
