Explanatory notes

This standard is included in DIN Handbook 219. Deals with the verification of the effectiveness of the cathodic protection of buried structures as specified in DIN 30676, such verification involving checking whether the protection potential criterion is fulfilled. Depending on the type of structure protected, verification may refer to discrete surface regions; the intervals at which checks are made shall be in accordance with the monitoring requirements specified in the relevant code of practice.
