The specifications given are intended to serve as a basis for evaluating the probability of corrosion of service equipment components whose outer surfaces are designed not to be, or not continuously to be in contact with aqueous agents inside buildings. Since it cannot be foreseen to what extent, over what period of time and how often aqueous agents will be effective, the likely corrosion behaviour can only be estimated.
