Specifies methods of determining the magnesium oxide in aluminosilicates for use in fine ceramics, in concentrations ranging from 0,001 to 5%. The method is suitable for specimens containing 20 to 90% of silicon(IV) oxide and not more than 45% of aluminium oxide. It may also be used for oxidic raw materials (e.g. feldspar, kaolin and clay) for use in ceramics.
