Diese Norm legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung des Schwefelgehaltes in pulver- und kornförmigen nichtoxidischen keramischen Roh- und Werkstoffen durch optische Emissionsspektrometrie mit induktiv gekoppeltem Plasma (ICP OES) oder mit Ionenchromatographie (IC) nach Verbrennung im Sauerstoffstrom fest. Das festgelegte Verfahren gilt für Werkstoffe mit Massenanteilen an Schwefel kleiner oder gleich 10%, an Glührückstand kleiner 20% und an Barium kleiner 10 mg/kg. Als Richtwerte für den unteren Anwendungsbereich dieses Verfahrens gelten Massenanteile an Schwefel von 0,5 mg/kg bei Bestimmung mittels ICP OES und 5 mg/kg bei Bestimmung mittels IC.
