    The method covers the determination of the vanadium content in the fuels and oils indicated under Section 1 by means of the flameless atomic absorption spectroscopy (NFAAS). The determination of the vanadium content in the above-mentioned oils is necessary, since fuel oils containing vanadium may cause operational trouble in the presence of sodium, e.g. when being burnt in firing installations or used for the operation of gas turbines.
