Das Prüfverfahren nach dieser Norm dient zur Bestimmung des Wärmedurchlasswiderstandes von Rahmen für Fenster, Fensterwände und Fenstertüren. Das Verfahren gilt nicht für einzelne Rahmenprofile, die in der Praxis nur als Kombination eingesetzt werden. Der errechnete Wärmedurchgangskoeffizient dient ausschliesslich zur Einstufung in die Rahmenmaterialgruppe nach DIN 4108 Teil 4.
