This Standard is included in DIN Handbook 117. Specifies a method of determining the density of paints, varnishes and similar coating materials using a hydrometer. Hydrometers are particularly suitable for determining the density of low-viscosity liquids. If used for liquids with a fairly high viscosity, sufficient time shall be allowed for the hydrometer to reach equilibrium before taking a reading.
