Describes a method for determining the permeability of rubber to gases at various differential pressures. Permeability is expressed by the permeability coefficient, which is a function of temperature and the type of gas used but not of pressure. Acceptance tests for materials for which the relationship between permeability and temperature is not known should be carried out at several temperatures.
