Lays down testing methods for testing sample sheets of semi-rigid PUR integral cellular materials (see Section 3). The characteristic values determined according to the testing methods on test specimens (i.e. taken both from sample sheets according to Section 5.1 and from suitable finished parts) cannot be directly transferred to randomly shaped and manufactured finished parts of semi-rigid PUR integral cellular materials. The characteristic values can be greatly dependent on the density distribution in the thickness direction and on the shaped article geometry. The density distribution is, in turn, greatly influenced by the manufacturing conditions (e.g. shaping, mould temperature). Therefore, the manufacture of sample sheets according to Section 5.1 is prescribed for a comparable test.
