For this reason, plastic products frequently have to be reduced in size. The methods described are suitable for the reduction of moulding materials, semi-finished products and finished parts made of plastic. Reduction can consist of initial and final reduction of the product. The selection of a suitable method depends on the type of product to be reduced, the purpose of the investigation and the required fineness of the material to be reduced.
