The purpose of the test for recoatability is to determine whether, after a specified drying time, an emulsion paint can be overpainted once or more than once with an emulsion paint 1) of the same quality class without the paint system exhibiting any unfavourable change of properties. Changes affecting the coating, which may arise from use and influence the recoatability (soiling, deposits, bleeding) are not ascertained by the test specified.
