1987 VERSION TRANSLATED INTO ENGLISH, DRAFT NOT YET TRANSLATED Specifies a standard method for determining the image quality of radiographs. The image quality, determined by indicators, allows an assessment of compliance with specified conditions for film processing and radiographic technique. The image quality indicator (IQI) has an arrangement of wires with different diameters. All IQI wires shall consist of the same material and shall be embedded in a protective covering which will not affect the image quality value by being to absorbent. Also covers the marking applied on the IQI.
