Applicable to the collection and processing of citrated venous blood for coagulation tests such as the determination of thromboplastin (prothrombin) time as described in DIN 58910 Part 1, determination of activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT) as described in DIN 58908, determination of thrombin time as described in DIN58914 Part 1, fibrinogen determination as described in DIN 58906 Part 1, determination of coagulation factors, e.g. of factor VIII coagulant activity as described in DN 58909 Part 1, and for other coagulation tests using plasma from citrated venous blood as a sample.
