Zweck dieser Norm ist die Festlegung von Begriffen zur ausreichenden und einheitlichen Kennzeichnung der technischen Eigenschaften von Photometern. Zur Kennzeichnung eines Photometers ist für eine bestimmte Einstellung des Gerätes die gleichzeitige Angabe allerfolgenden Eigenschaften notwendig: - eingestellte Wellenlänge - Halbwertbreite und Hundertstelwertbreite - Falschlichtanteil - Einstellzeit - Kurzzeitreproduzierbarkeit - Mindestvolumen - Strahlungseinfluss auf die Probe
