In order to prevent confusion, the different working processes that can be carried out on boring (drilling) and milling machines with horizontal spindle are defined and the different structural forms of the machines are described. Boring (drilling) and milling machines with a horizontal spindle are divided into the following categories: Table-mounted boring (drilling) and milling machines; Column-type boring (drilling) and milling machines; Apron-type boring (drilling) and milling machines.
