This standard is included in DIN Handbook 156/1. Applicable to heat pumps using halogenated hydrocarbons as the refrigerant, and the soil, ground water or surface water as the heat source. To prevent any direct and indirect hazarding of ground water and surface water by the heat pumps, lays down requirements to be met by the heat pump and the appropriate test methods.
