This standard is included in DIN Handbook 66. Defines mechanical safety requirements and testing for all kinds of fully erected domestic adult beds, including all component elements eg bed frame, base, mattress and mattress pads(when they form a unit with the mattress). Not applicable to foldaway beds, bunk beds, children's cots and adjustable beds for disabled persons, when separate standards exist, in addition to water beds and air beds.
