Diese Norm legt die Masse, die Grenzabmasse, die Anforderungen und die Masse eines AWG 24-Quadkabels, einfach geschirmt, Typ KD, für schnelle Duplex-Ethernet-Netze (100 Mbit/s) fest. Für diesen speziellen Anwendungsfall liegen die Betriebstemperaturen der Leitungen zwischen -65 grad C und 125 grad C. Diese Leitung ist Laser-bedruckbar, sie entspricht den Anforderungen der EN 3838. Der Wellenwiderstand muss (10 +/- 15) [omega] betragen.
