Diese Norm legt die allgemeinen Eigenschaften, Bedingungen für Qualifikation, Abnahme und Qualitätssicherung sowie die Prüfprogramme und -gruppen für LWL-Unterbaugruppen in Einschub-Steckverbindern fest, die durchgängig für die Anwendung im Temperaturbereich zwischen -65 grad C und 125 grad C (vom Kabel abhängig) vorgesehen sind. Diese Norm legt ein Adapterpaar fest, in normierte Quadrax-Kontaktkammern passt und den Einbau optischer Kontakte nach EN 4531-101 ermöglicht.
