    This standard is included in DIN VDE Handbook 509. Defines requirements and installation procedure for signs and luminous-discharge-tube installations operating from a no-load rated output voltage in excess of 1000V but not in excess of 10000 V, inclusive of electrical components and wiring. Describes installations for publicity, decorative or general lighting purposes, either internally or externally. May be fixed or portable and supplied from a low-voltage (LV) or extra-low-voltage (ELV) source using a transformer, invertor or convertor.
