Dieser Teil der Internationalen Norm IEC 60793 beschreibt einheitliche Anforderungen für die Messung des Makrobiegeverlustes von Einmoden-Lichtwellenleitern (Kategorie B) bei 1550 nm oder 1625 nm, Mehrmodenfasern der Kategorie A1 bei 850 nm oder 1300 nm und Mehrmodenfasern der Kategorien A3 und A4 bei 650 nm, 850 nm oder 1300 nm, die der Überprüfung von Fasern und Kabeln für kommerzielle Zwecke dienen.
