Diese Norm legt Anforderungen an Einrichtungen zur Überwachung von Alpha-, Beta- oder Gammastrahlung emittierenden Radionukliden in Wasser fest. Sie bestimmt allgemeine Merkmale, allgemeine Prüfverfahren, Strahlungseigenschaften sowie elektrische, mechanische, Sicherheits- und Umweltmerkmale sowie die Kennzeichnung und Zertifizierung solcher Einrichtungen. Im Anhang wird eine Anleitung zum Einsatz solcher Einrichtungen gegeben.
