A Withdrawn Standard is one, which is removed from sale, and its unique number can no longer be used. The Standard can be withdrawn and not replaced, or it can be withdrawn and replaced by a Standard with a different number.

Dieser Teil der IEC 61499, der ein Technischer Bericht ist, beabsichtigt, eine einfache Kurzschreibweise für gemeinsame Funktionalitäten in einer grossen Anzahl von 'Anwendungsfeldern' zu liefern, und diese darf als eine 'Sprache' betrachtet werden. Es sollte aber beachtet werden, dass IEC 61499 von sich aus keine Programmiersprache definiert.
