Applies to reproducing equipment for videodisks for home use. Defines and lists the characteristics that affect the performance of videodisk players, establishes conditions and measurement methods of those characteristics, and standardizes the presentation of results. Does not apply to specify limiting values of the various quantities for acceptable performances. Measurement methods are intended to make it possible to assess the performance of the complete player.
