This standard is included in DIN Handbook 263. Defines criteria for self-contained biological indicator systems for use in the routine monitoring of the performance of sterilizers which use ethylene oxide gas as the sterilant. Intended for use in sterilizers using pure ethylene oxide or admixtures of the gas with diluent gases, over a sterilizing temperature range between 20 and 65 degrees C.
