This standard is included in DIN Handbook 286 and 286/1. Defines requirements for 12 grades of low-carbon cast-steel shot abrasive, supplied for blast-cleaning processes. Defines values for hardness, density, defect/structural requirements and chemical composition. Applicable only to new condition abrasives, and not to abrasives either during or after use.
