This standard is included in DIN DVS Handbook 283. Provides guidance on imperfection levels in electron and laser beam welded steel joints. Three levels are supplied in order to allow application for a wide range of welded fabrications. The levels refer to production quality, and not to fitness-for-purpose of the manufactured product. Does not include metallurgical aspects, such as grain size and hardness.
