DIN EN ISO 19128 spezifiziert einen Dienst, der räumlich referenzierte Karten aus Geoinformationen erzeugt. Diese Norm beschreibt die Operationen des Dienstes zur Ermittlung der Karten und Karteneigenschaften, die von einer Instanz eines solchen Dienstes angeboten werden, zur Abfrage von Karten sowie zur Abfrage von Informationen zu Objekten, die in den Karten dargestellt werden.
