This standard is included in DIN Handbook KUNSTSTOFFE BAND 2. Defines a method for the chemical determination of free formaldehyde in phenolic resins by potentiometric titration, in aqueous or organic solution. Applies to resins having free-formaldehyde contents not in excess of 15% (m/m). Not for use when hexamethylenetetramine is present. ALSO NUMBERED AS BS 2782 PART 4 METHOD 451N 1997
