Diese Norm enthält die Anforderungen für selbstklebende Bänder, die mit Trägern auf der Basis von Polyesterfolie kombiniert sind: PET-Folie mit Glasfilament, gekrepptes Zellulosepapier mit PET-Folie; PET-Folie mit Polyester-Vliesstoff; PET-Folie mit Epoxid.Bandtypen, die dieser Norm entsprechen, erfüllen festgelegte Anforderungen. Allerdings sollte der Verbraucher bei der Auswahl eines Bandtyps für eine spezielle Anwendung die tatsächlichen Anforderungen berücksichtigen, die für diesen Anwendungsfall notwendig sind und nicht nur die, die durch diese Norm erfasst werden.
