Prescribes the general performance requirements for lever (toggle) switches. Selects the appropriate quality assessment procedures and test methods form IEC 1020-1; prescribes preferred ratings and characteristics. Applies to the sub-family of lever (toggle) switches within the family of electromechanical switches of assessed quality. Covers lever (toggle switches) that have a rated current not exceeding 25 A (d.c. or r.m.s. values) and a rated voltage not over 300 V. Does not relate to lever-actuated in-line switches or to lever-actuated thumbwheel switches. This publication also bears the number QC 960200, which is the specification number in the IEC Quality Assessment System for Electronic Components (IECQ).
