Diese Norm gilt für Personendosimeter mit den folgenden Eigenschaften: a) Sie werden am Rumpf oder an den Gliedmassen des Körpers getragen. b) Sie messen die Tiefen- und Oberflächen-Personendosis H[p](10) und H[p](0,07) durch externe Röntgen-, Gamma-, Neutronen- und Betastrahlung und möglicherweise die Tiefen- und Oberflächen-Personendosisleistungen und c) Sie haben eine digitale Anzeige. d) Sie können Warnschwellen für die Personendosis oder die Personendosisleistung haben.
