Die künftige Norm wird für mobile Strahlungsnachweissysteme gelten, die für die Detektion, Quantifizierung und Identifizierung von Photonen- und/oder Neutronenstrahlung emittierenden Nukliden in der Umwelt vorgesehen sind. Solche Systeme bestehen aus Detektoren, Signalverarbeitung, Positionsbestimmungseinheiten, Datenaufzeichnung an Bord, betrieblicher Überwachung und Echtzeitanzeigen und Alarmen. Leistungsfähigere Systeme können zusätzlich Einrichtungen zur Daten- Fernübertragung in Operationszentralen beinhalten.
