Dieser Teil von ISO 13357 legt ein Verfahren für die Bestimmung der Filtrierbarkeit von Schmierölen und besonders von Hydraulikölen fest. Das Verfahren bezieht sich ausschliesslich auf Mineralöle, da aus anderen Materialien hergestellte Fluide (z. B. schwer entflammbare Flüssigkeiten) unter Umständen nicht mit den spezifizierten Prüfmembranen verträglich sind.
