In diesem Dokument sind die Begriffe definiert, die notwendig sind, um die Spezifikationsoperatoren nach DIN ISO/TS 17540-2 für die Rundheit an vollständigen Geometrieelementen festzulegen. Das Erfassen von Formabweichungen schliesst immer einen bestimmten Filterungsvorgang ein. Eine zusätzliche Filterung von erfassten Merkmalen darf vorgenommen werden. Das zusätzliche Filter kann ein Mittellinienfilter (z. B. Gauss-, Spline-, Wavelet- o. Ä.) oder ein nichtlineares Filter (z. B. morphologisches Filter) sein.
