Proposes requirements for electric lifts for carrying passengers on goods or both. The objective of this revision is to rectify anomalies in the existing editions, and accommodate recent changes in engineering practices and advances in technology, and to harmonize the Standard with the relevant major overseas Standards (viz; EN81.1 and ANSI/ASME A17.1).
