Specifies requirements, additional to those in AS 1418.1, for tower cranes of the ram luffing, rope luffing, saddle jib (hammerhead), articulated saddle jib, and self-erecting types. Appendices provide guidance on information to be supplied with an inquiry or order, and by the manufacturer, illustrations of typical cranes, typical classifications of the crane as a whole and crane mechanisms.
