Proposes the adoption of ISO 5922:1981 as an Australian Standard. ISO 5922 specifies requirements for malleable cast iron. It also gives a classification on the basis of mechanical properties. It is applicable only to malleable cast iron cast into sand moulds or moulds comparable thermal diffusivity. Copies of ISO 5922 may be purchased from or viewed at Standards Australia offices.
