Proposes the adoption of ISO 6506-1:1999 with national modifications. ISO 6506-1 specifies the method of the Brinell hardness test for metallic materials and is applicable up to the limit of 650 HBW. Copies of ISO 6506-1 may be purchased from or viewed at Standards Australia offices.
