Proposes the competencies required for work associated with electrical equipment for hazardous areas (commonly termed 'Ex' equipment), including levels of training and how competency is to be assessed and attributed. The competencies do not specify entry level skills; they are intended to build on existing competencies. It also proposes the requirements for assessing the achievement of the Units of Competency. This Draft Standard applies to all industry sectors dealing with explosion-protected elecrical equipment for hazardous areas (EEHA).
