Companion to DR 91116, Commercial building telecommunciations wiring (a draft voluntary code of practice incorporating EIA-568). The substantive content of this document is EIA-569 which is a current North American Standard. It recognizes that building wiring cannot be standardized without also standardizing the architecture of the building itself into which wiring systems are installed. It provides comprehensive guidance and information for application in the planning of pathways and spaces in buildings to accommodate future-proofed integrated cabling systems.
