This particular draft Standard defines the signalling protocol for use at the Q-reference point in support of bearer circuit-switched services. It is one of a series of ISO Standards defining services and signalling protocols applicable to private telecommunications networks. The series uses the integrated services digital networks (ISDN) concepts as developed by CCITT and is also within the framework of Standards for Open Systems Interconnection as defined by ISO.
