Proposes requirements for components, ancillary equipment, and management systems used as part of the boiler pressure and energy generating system, including management systems, combustion equipment, water level security, safety valves and other fittings, blowdown connections and integral pipework. Most of the requirements in this draft are currently in AS 1228 Boilers - Water-tube, and AS 1797 Boilers - Fire-tube, shell and miscellaneous, with some requirements similar in both Standrds while others are unnecessarily different. The requirements have been reviewed, and as far as practicable, uniform requirements have been proposed in this draft Standard which will be applicable to all types of boilers. It is intended that all such requirements shall be withdrawn from AS 1228 and AS 1797 when this draft Standard is published.
