Proposes requirements for the construction, installation and testing of water treatment appliances designed for domestic premises. These units are designed to be used for the reduction of specific groups of contaminants from drinking water (public or private), such contaminants being specified by the manufacturer of the units. Processes may be by mechanical filtration or for the removal or treatment of micro-biological, chemical (organic), chemical (inorganic) or taste or odour contaminants.
